August: What’s in season?

And, in this month’s episode of “WHAT AWESOMEINCREDIBLEYUMMY STUFF IS IN SEASON THIS MONTH” we’ve got the laws bits of summer with melons, stone fruit, and summer herbs, while fall is slightly poking its head in.

We said it last month. We’ll say it again — MIX IT UP. Here are a few ways to get creative in the kitchen:

  1. Look at what’s in season (why you’re reading this blog right now, duh)

  2. Learn some new recipes that call for the in-season fruits + veggies

  3. Make a date out of it with your person. Go to a new farmer’s market. Cook together. Experiment. Find a farm and go harvest something yourself.

Here’s what’s in-season this month (and your go-to’s for your grocery list)!
