June: What’s in season?

Do you fall into the habit of making the same, boring stuff for dinner every night? We do! We have the same 7-10 recipes that we buy and make every week because, well… because it’s easy.

Ways to combat-the-boring and get creative in the kitchen:

  1. Look at what’s in season

  2. Learn some new recipes that call for the in-season fruits + veggies

  3. Make a date out of it with your person. Go to a new farmer’s market. Cook together. Experiment. Find a farm and go harvest something yourself. Hell, learn how to sprout and grow something yourself.

Here’s what’s in-season this month (and your go-to’s for your grocery list)!

apricots

artichokes

avocados

basil

bok choy

blueberries

broccoli

cabbage

cherries

corn

cucumbers

eggplant

fennel

garlic

scapes

leafy greens

nectarines

potatoes

peaches

peas

plums

radishes

spinach

squash

onion

strawberries

tomatoes

turnips

And don’t forget your edible flowers for smoothie toppings, focaccia, cakes, and cocktails ;)

Remember: If you’re eating whole, unprocessed foods, you’re doing wonders for your body, brain, and overall health.
